Just Born Quality Confections Awards $5K Grant

Posted: September 16, 2019

PBS39 was awarded a $5000 grant from Just Born Quality Confections to implement the outdoor marketing components of the Talk Read Sing early childhood literacy campaign, championed by Lehigh Valley Reads – a partnership between PBS39 and United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley.

Talk Read Sing is an awareness campaign from national organization Too Small To Fail to remind families that anyone can be a teacher to children starting at birth. Talking, reading, and singing to babies exposes them to words, sounds, and dialect that will assist with their brain development and literacy skills as they grow.

Engaging posters with messaging in English and Spanish can be seen in neighborhoods in Easton, Allentown, and Bethlehem, on buses that travel across the region, and on-air during PBS39 programming.
