Talk, Read, Sing Across the Lehigh Valley

Posted: June 22, 2019
The Southside of Bethlehem, West Ward of Easton, and Downtown Allentown have become a little brighter with newly posted Talk, Read, Sing billboards. This awareness campaign from Talking is Teaching reminds families that anyone can be a teacher, even to infants. Talking, reading, and singing to babies exposes them to words, sounds, and dialect that will assist with their brain development and literacy skills.

The outdoor campaign was made possible thanks to The Provident Bank Foundation’s $50,000 Signature Grant for 2018.

The Provident Bank Foundation was established in 2003 by Provident Bank to enhance quality of life through support of not-for-profit groups, institutions, schools and other 501(c)(3) organizations that provide valuable services to the communities served by the Bank to build stronger communities.

Colorful messaging in English and Spanish are in each neighborhood on billboards, bus shelters, and others travel across the Valley every day as interior and exterior graphics on local buses.

You'll recognize a few well-known faces, including actor Jennifer Garner, sharing the Talk, Read, Sing message in between shows when you watch PBS39
